Sassy

ADOPT received the following update from Sassy’s new family. We hope you enjoy it! 🙂

Hello! I just wanted to send a quick note thanking all of you at A.D.O.P.T Pet Rescue. We had such a great experience adopting Sassy from you; all of the volunteers and staff were so nice over email and Amy with the prison program was (and continues to be) very helpful. We absolutely love Sassy! She is such a sweet girl and a very good dog. She loves playing outside, cuddling up with us, and running around with all of her friends at the dog park! We’re so happy we were able to give her a home. Thanks again! 🙂

Luna

ADOPT received the following update from Luna’s new family. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did! 🙂

Luna is as wonderful as we had hoped she would be! She was friendly, but aloof when we first brought her home, which was to be expected. However, over the weekend, she really bonded with us and fits right in with our family. She is just a sweet heart and everyone that has met her has fallen in love with her. Needless to say, we will be keeping her. 🙂

Thank you so much for saving her and helping us bring her into our family.

Daphne

ADOPT recently received this update from Daphne’s family. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did! 🙂

On July 1st, 2012, we adopted Daphne from A.D.O.P.T. in Westerville, OH. On that day she was a little wild and very unsure. For months she drooped her head low, kept her eyes narrow and her tail tucked. She would bark at any little noise. She was so scared.

This is her today. She’s our baby now and we couldn’t imagine life without her. She is calm, submissive and happy. She likes to play in her yard, go for rides, and get treats. She is very smart and learns quickly. Mostly she loves to cuddle and loves her toys!

Thank you so much for saving her and bringing her into our lives.

Ace

ADOPT received this note from Ace’s new family. We hope you enjoy it! 🙂

Well, Ace has been in our home for a month now and is truly a member of our family! He saw the vet this week, just to get to know our family vet. He was about 17 pounds now (he was 11 when we got him), and much taller.

We’re working with Amy Liss, a dog trainer, for a six-week session. And he has gone to her “puppy socials”.. does great with other dogs. He’s a rock star when it comes to training – he now knows sit, sit/stay, come, roll over, shake and “leave it.” He loves his walks…he’s just a super dog!

ADOPT received this note from Logan’s (great dane/mastiff mix) new family. We hope you enjoy it!

– ADOPT Pet Rescue

Just a little note to update you on Logan.  He is up to 109 lbs!  The vet we took him to suggested 115 lbs would be an ideal weight to maintain for him.  So we are getting close to that.  We’ve been getting him out for walks daily (except on those below zero days we had).  He seems to have selective hearing still as he will follow our commands when he wants to.  We found a place to take him for some obedience classes.  We hope to one day be able to walk him through the neighborhood off leash!

Here are some recent pictures, he loves to lounge around!
