Meet Luke, born 6/3/2011. Luke’s mother is a purebred black Labrador Retriever who was rescued after having been thrown out of a vehicle and taken in by a high kill shelter in rural Ohio. She was saved from being euthanized by a lovely couple who kept her until she delivered her pups and was able to wean them. Luke and his brother Bosco are settling in to their foster homes and learning the ropes of being well mannered little boys! If you would like to meet Luke, please fill out an online application.

Meet Frankie, a male husky mix who is approximately a year old weighing (about) 30 lbs. Frankie was found as a stray and was in a kill shelter set to be euthanized for space. He is living with 2 other dogs and gets along wonderfully with them. He is somewhat submissive and understands his “place” in the pack. He loves to play but is content to lay nearby. He doesn’t bark in his crate, has not had any accidents in the house and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body! He is playful and sweet, would do wonderfully with kids! He needs work on leash manners but does not stray far from his people/home!

Lizzie

Lizzie is a golden retriever/boxer mix who loves people. She is thrilled to be your constant companion and loves to snuggle on the couch or curl up at your feet. She weighs about 50lbs and is a year old. Lizzie would do well in a home with another dog and plenty of exercise. Lizzie gets along very well with children. She’s really looking forward to finding her forever home!

Lizzie was featured on a local news segment this week. You can view the video online now at Fox 28 Columbus (She has since this episode overcome her apprehension around mirrors and no longer has issues with them.)

Zeke

Zeke is a lab mix born 07/2010. He is timid at first because he has spent his young life in an outdoor pen with several other dogs. He warms up quickly and is a complete lover. He has one brown eye and one striking blue eye. His sister was also rescued by ADOPT and she also was very affectionate and sweet. Zeke is currently 26 pounds and probably won’t get much larger than 35 pounds. He is underweight right now due to poor nutrition, but we intend to fatten him up and shower him with love. He is very playful, energetic, and doing well with housebreaking. Zeke loves to run and play and is a very sweet and affectionate puppy who gets along well with people and other dogs. Asher is a sheltie mix born 11/2010. He is intelligent, spunky and a typical puppy! He currently weighs 16 pounds and probably won’t be more than 30-35 pounds full grown (that’s our best guess!) He was rescued from a kill shelter in a rural Ohio county and he is settling in wonderfully in his foster home. He gets along with his canine foster brothers, is housebroken and very smart!. Sprocket is super sweet and a very smart dog. He knows basic comments, how to sit, wait, and walks nicely on the leash. He gets along great with other dogs and loves to run and play. He is housebroken and very well mannered in the house. He does not need to be crated, but this guy is energetic and needs lots of exercise. Sprocket is an absolute sweetie and definitely deserves a forever, loving home.

Hi! I’m Ryan. You may notice a resemblance between me and that other handsome guy, Jake. Yep, we are brothers. I’m the big brother. We are litter mates but I’m the “stocky” one. Like the big strong snugly type? If so, than I’m your guy. I have big paws and a lot of extra skin to grow into, I think it adds to my good looks. I’m quite young, approximately 3 months at the end of Febuary, but my foster mom says I am doing great and learning that my crate is a cozy sleeping den and that pottying is to be done outside.
