Daphne

[singlepic id=1087 w=320 h=240 float=center]

* Animal: Dog
* Breed: Chocolate Lab
* Sex: Female
* Age: Adult (6-7 years)

Daphne is a beautiful mature Chocolate Lab (approx 6-7 yrs.) She had a litter of pups on December 21 and has since been spayed. She is a gentle giant weighing in at 75lbs. She is all muscle and loves to run and play. Daphne is very loving and also protective of her home and family. She should have a fenced in yard but it does not need to be a high fence. She will not jump over it. If you want to keep her out of a room, just prop up a baby gate and she will not knock it down or even walk over it if it falls. She does not mess in the house, ever, nor is she destructive in any way. She is gentle but grabs at food, so she should not be around small children. We recommend age 10 or older due to her size. She is very playful and looks older than she is because of the graying around her muzzle. Daphne loves to follow you around the house and go for rides in the car. We are uncertain of her past life but know for sure that she is loving and deserving of much love in return. Daphne would prefer to go to a home without cats.

* Animal: Kitten
* Sex: Female
* Age: 8-9 weeks

Kela is about 8-9 weeks old. She is currently in a house with another cat and 2 big dogs, and she has warmed up very quickly to the home and the other animals.  We are still getting to know her, but she is becoming very playful, spunky, and energetic like a typical young kitten. There are other times when she will lay by you and relax too. Kela uses a litter box very well, and she is eating solid food. She likes salmon flavored kitty treats!

Ginger

Update on Ginger…she is AWESOME!  We could not be more pleased with her – almost surreal about how well behaved she is.  Over the last few days, we have tried to get her acclimated to our lives, friends and neighbors.  She took her first trip to Petsmart on Saturday- and got so much attention.  She then went to our neighborhood Octoberfest Saturday night – there were 30-40 people there and she was loved by all – people were amazed at how good she was.  She got her first bath today – cant say that she loved that but she withstood it and now smells awesome and is so soft.  She is also very sneaky at night 🙂 – we have a bed for her on the floor but she will sneak into our bed during the night – but how can we refuse that face?!   We have left her alone with free roam of the house for short periods of time and she does not touch a thing.

…She is getting lots and lots of attention, love and good care!  Thank you for what you guys do – we are very grateful that there are places and people like you that care so much for animals!

Leo (formerly Asher)

[singlepic id=1071 w=320 h=240 float=center]

Thought you might enjoy a recent photo of Leo. He is now 30 pounds and has all of his adult teeth.  His coat has thickened quite a bit – even in the hot weather.  He is a typical adolescent into everything and quick to
disobey.
Once we see our days past these couple of months he will be perfect. He loves everyone and has had fun at the local dog parks and playing with neighbors dogs as well.

Lacey

* Animal: Dog

* Breed: Great Pyrenees/Chocolate Lab mix
* Sex: Female
* Age: 2.75 years

Hi my name is Lacey. I am a 2.75 year old female, Great Pyrenees/Chocolate Lab mix. My foster mom says I present a more lab in my personality. I love to be pet and to be near my family. I also love to playing outside and going for walks. Sometimes when I don’t walk well on my leash it’s because I would prefer to trot. I know my basic commands and am a real snuggler. I can be shy around new people and men but give me some time and I will warm up, especially if you shower me with pets.
