Iggy

Iggy is a gorgeous Black Lab (mix?) who is approximately 60 lbs and a year old. He is your typical lab boy with a big personality and lab energy. Iggy was taken from a high kill shelter where he’d been kept after he was found wandering on his own. He has been with kids and other dogs and does fine, we are not sure about cats. Iggy would do well in an active home where he has the opportunity to play and go for walks. A fenced yard would be ideal since he loves to chase toys and romp! Woody

Woody is an absolutely gorgeous purebred Yellow Lab. He is approximately 3 years old and weighs 92 lbs. There is nothing negative that can be said about this guy. He is one big loverboy…adores people, kids and other dogs. He is housebroken, gentle, and smart. Woody likes to place his paws on you and give kisses, he will follow you and loves to be nearby. Aurora

* Age: 1 year

Aurora is a fabulous female Husky mix, possibly with Border Collie, and is approximately a year old. She was found wandering on her own looking for food and shelter. She must have been loved once because she is very friendly and loves people. She is the perfect size, just under 40 lbs, is housebroken and will let you know when she needs to go out. Aurora is very affectionate, does well with other dogs, currently is being fostered with 3 cats and ignores them, and sleeps quietly through the night. Aurora loves to play, and will fetch toys for you. She doesn’t like to share her food and will get protective over it, therefore we will not place her in a home with children under 6. Emmy

Emmy is a puppy who was born in July 2012. Her dad is a purebred Basset Hound and mom is known only as “a yellow dog”! Emmy is gorgeous, she has long ears and Basset legs and is ridiculously cute!!! She is extremely affectionate and fairly laid back. Emmy is learning about the crate but she really wants to be close to people. Romy

Romy is approximately 10 weeks old (as of 10-18-12) and came in with her sister Michelle. The girls are Chihuahua mixes currently weighing a little over 6 pounds. They are very affectionate and happy to be out of the kill shelter! Romy’s ears “tip over” and she has huge beautiful eyes, she’s gorgeous! Sadie

* Age: 2 years

Sadie is a sweet, good natured Black Lab mix who is approximately 2 yrs old.  She knows basic commands and is house and crate trained.  She is very high energy and would do well with a fenced in yard.  She loves her toys and is extremely athletic with her fetching and retrieving abilities.  She is a great watch dog and just wants to be around people and be loved.  She really enjoys car rides and is a very well behaved passenger.  She has a tendency to chase cats, however is not aggressive, just playful.  Sadie is crated when left alone which helps her feel secure and avoids some puppy behavior such as chewing.  She would do well with another older dog or as an only dog in the household.  She has not been tested with children.  Sadie may be shy at first, however,  more than anything she wants a forever family to love her and a place to call home.

Norman

* Age: 2.5 years

Norman is a 2.5 year old Schnauzer (mix?) who is approximately 15-20 lbs.  We are unsure of his history, but know that he is a fantastic boy!  Norman lives with other dogs and young children and gets along with all.  He is smart, affectionate, housebroken and walks well on a leash. He was so frightened when he arrived into rescue from a high kill shelter but quickly warmed up to the kindness that his new people showed him.  He relaxes easily, enjoys his toys and is an all around great dog that will make a wonderful companion!  If you would like to meet Norman, please fill out an online application.

Tess

* Breed: Pug/Chihuahua mix

* Sex: Female

* Age: 3 years

Tess is a fabulous Pug/Chihuahua mix, approximately 3 years old and weighs 16 pounds.  She is the perfect girl…housebroken, crate trained, loves her walks and her toys, is a snuggler and very bright!  Tess is food motivated (she really loves her meals!) and has an adorable slight underbite and the “pug curl” to her tail.  Her foster mom says that Tess is quiet, not a barker, snoozes throughout the day with little bursts of energy!  She can be cautious around new people, but warms up quickly.  She does not seem bothered by other dogs but has not been cat tested.  We prefer that Tess goes to a home with children 6 or older because of her tentative nature with new people.  If you would like to meet this special girl, please fill out an online application.
