Valentino (because he’s such a lover) is a stunning 1.5-2 year old Boxer who is not only gorgeous but also has an amazing disposition. He is housebroken, excellent with children, good with other dogs, lives with an infant and a cat, and is a truly happy boy! He has the typical “clown” personality of a Boxer and loves to romp and play. We don’t understand why he wound up in a kill shelter, but we are thrilled that he is thriving in his foster home while waiting for his forever family. Valentino would do best in a home with a fenced yard and someone to keep him company…either a human companion or canine playmate. Hi! How are ya? My name is Cocoa. I am a 1 year old Chocolate Lab/Sheppard mix and weigh about 60 lbs. I am looking for a new home where my forever family will give me lots of love! My foster mom found me crouched in a drainage ditch along the interstate, where I was cold, wet, and scared. At first, I was very timid, but since she brought me to her home, I’m feeling much better.

My foster mom says I am the sweetest girl you could ever meet. I always want to be close to my family and will give you lots of love and kisses anytime you want. I really enjoy relaxing around the house, as long as I am close to my family. My favorite thing in the whole world is to cuddle.

I’m a quiet girl and don’t bark often. I love to go for walks and am very good at walking on my leash. I also enjoy playing in the yard with my foster brother. We have so much fun together! I think riding in the car is fun too and will happily go wherever you want to take me! I always like to meet new people and am very friendly. I’m housebroken and already know a few commands. I’m very eager to learn new things and make you proud of me.

Hi my name is Riley. I am a 1 year old male and a Boxer mix. My foster mom and dad say that I play like a puppy but this is most likely my boxer personality. I love to chase laser pointers and curl up on the couch or by the fire. I also love to play outside and go for walks. I know my basic commands and am a quick learner. Emmy

We recently adopted Emmy, the five month old basset hound/”yellow dog” mix, from your shelter, and we wanted to let you know how well she is doing!

Now that she has adjusted, she is doing very well (although she was doing pretty well to begin with and Kira said she fit right in as soon as she came to our house!) She’s had natural puppy behaviors, which is why on Sunday, she’ll start puppy kindergarden at Petsmart so we can learn how to be the best parents possible. It took a few weeks, but we are slowly getting her potty trained, and she hasn’t had any accidents in the house in two days! She has really enjoyed playing with our other puppy, Patch, a two year old border collie/beagle mix, and he’s slowly adjusting to having a new little puppy in the house. She has gotten big enough to jump onto the couch and our bed, so she’s been doing a lot of sleeping/relaxing on those places. 🙂 She got her stitches out from getting fixed the Friday after we got her and the vet said she looks great. I don’t know how she ended up at your shelter, but she has a forever home now and I’m pretty sure she’s very happy with us. 🙂

We want to let you know that we truly appreciate all you do for the animals at your shelter! We couldn’t be happier with our choice of bringing Emmy into our home! Thanks again for all you do!
