Riley
Riley is a male boxer mix weighing about 50 lbs. Riley came to us from a kill shelter in Southern Ohio where he was slated for euthanasia due to overcrowding. He is housebroken, crate trained and great with other dogs, kids and people of all ages! He has the typical Boxer personality and is very playful. Riley loves to go for walks, chase laser pointers and play tug of war! He is happiest to curl up and be near his people. This handsome boy knows his basic commands and would be a wonderful addition to any home. If you are interested in meeting Riley, please fill out our online application!

Strikes for Strays Wrap-Up
Strikes for Strays was a huge success! Many thanks go out to our sponsors for the event: Columbus Square Bowling Palace for hosting us and Two Caterers for providing the food!
We had over 100 bowlers in attendance and raised almost $2000 for our rescue. Now, we’ll be able to save a few more dogs.
Check out some of our photos from the event below.

Blondie (aka Buttercup)
Meet Buttercup. She has to be one of the happiest little dogs you could ever meet! She will even give you a “smile” now and again. When she first came to us she was a little scared of men but has grown to trust them as soon as they talk to her. She loves to be next too you and gives kisses all the time! She adores kids! She follwed a 1yr old who visited her everywhere! She loves other dogs too. She has a Pommie and German Shepherd friend at her foster home. Her and the Pommie can play for hours. The Greman Shepherd is older and she has learned to respect him and not bother him unless he wants to play. She even plays with the cats…when they let her that is. She is housetrained and knows sit, down and stay (most of the time). She enjoys being outside so if you like to do things in the yard or go to the park she would love to do that with you. She keeps trying to catch the deer in her foster homes backyard but so far no luck with that. But she does chase them back over the fence and away from the garden…what a little helper she is! All around a great happy little girl who gets along with everyone….won’t you let her bring a little joy into your home?

Sammy
[singlepic id=1255 w=320 h=240 float=center]* Animal: Dog
* Breed: Poodle mix
* Sex: Male
* Age: 3 years
Sammy is approximately 3 years old. He appears to be slightly larger than a miniature Poodle, possibly mixed? Sammy’s owner had to surrender him after she became ill and unable to care for him. His foster parents say that he is a perfect and lovable lap dog! He is completely housebroken, crate trained and non-destructive in the house. He lives with a cat and gets along wonderfully with her. He LOVES his outdoor walks and playing with his toys. Sammy is described as “a huge cuddler, pretty chill, and perfectly content spending the day napping or curled up on your lap.” All he needs now is a lap to call his own! If you’d like to meet sweet Sammy, please fill out an online application!
