Faith

Faith is approximately 2.5-3 years old and is a Dachshund mix. She came to us from a sad background…she was part of a hoarding situation and was extremely frightened. She is in our canine/inmate program and is making great strides. She is coming out of her shell and learning how to be a dog! She is still timid at first, but warms up once she gets comfortable. Faith loves the company of other canines and would do well in a home with another dog. We have not had her exposed to children or cats. We believe she would be happy to snuggle with her human or canine pal and just be a wonderful source of “good company.” If you would like to meet this sweet girl, please fill out an online application. ***Faith is currently part of the prison program***

Birdie

Birdie is a Spaniel mix born Jan 2013, will weigh approximately 35 lbs when grown and is part of our canine/inmate prison program. This sweet girl is playful, energetic, smart and affectionate. She is learning her basic obedience commands and has caught on quickly. She is still just a puppy and has typical puppy behaviors, like having bursts of energy and requiring a watchful eye! She loves her people and does well with other dogs and children too. Join ADOPT at the Ohio State Fair Dog Park on Friday, July 26th! The Dog Park is located in the pavilion area and is open from 12 to 5 PM. Stop by and meet some of our adoptable dogs! Shelby

Shelby is a gorgeous, 1.5 year old mix of Shepherd, Heeler, and possibly Catahoula all rolled into one fabulous bundle. She is a perfect size, 37 lbs, and has a super sweet disposition. She is entered in the prison program and knows all of her basic commands very well. She is a sensitive, gentle and playful girl who gets along well with everyone. Because of her breed combination, she would do best with a human or canine companion to keep her company rather than being crated all day. She is good with kids and would love a family to call her own. There are not enough wonderful words to describe Shelby, she’s simply great!! Indy

Indy is a beautiful Boxer mix. He’s referred to as the “Marmaduke” of the prison program! He knows all of his commands, including some extra ‘tricks’ like roll over & shake. He would do wonderfully in a home where he gets regular exercise and/or has another canine playmate. He does well with most other dogs but can get bossy with other male dogs that seem dominant. He’s a super nice boy…if you’d like to meet Indy, please fill out our online application.

Good with kids: yes (6 and up is best due to Indy’s size & wiggle factor!)
Good with cats: has been exposed and wanted to play but not harm

Sasha

Sasha is an amazing 3 year old Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix. She is currently a part of the canine/inmate program and is doing wonderfully. Sasha is housebroken and crate trained. She currently weighs about 53 pounds and needs to gain a few more. She is highly motivated and a genuine pleaser. She adores human companionship and does well with other dogs. We are unsure of her history but know that she has a promising future and will make a fabulous family dog. Love this girl! Please fill out an online application to meet beautiful Sasha.

Lilly is a 1.5 year old Border Collie mix currently in the canine/inmate prison program. She comes from a kill shelter in southern Ohio and would love a home to call her own. Typical of her breed, she is intelligent and affectionate. She was fostered with a cat and did not bother it at all. Lilly is housebroken and crate trained. She is still somewhat unsure and therefore would do well in a home with children 8 and older. She loves her outdoor time but is also happy to curl up near her person or people! Chesney is a 2 year old Maltese/Yorkie mix who is looking for his forever home. Chesney is the complete package…he’s good with children, other dogs, is housebroken and crate trained. Marty is a Jack Russell Terrier mix, approximately 1.5 years old and weighs 21 lbs. True to the JRT breed, Marty is spirited, loving and intelligent.
