Roo

ADOPT received the following update on Roo.  We hope you enjoy it!

Roo is absolutely amazing! We decided to keep her name since it fits her VERY well (she bounces around our yard like a kangaroo when we play 🙂 ). We took her to the pet store today and there was an unusual number of dogs and people there and she was great, one of the best behaved dogs in the store! She likes the car too, just sits quietly and looks out the window.
She’s still learning on the leader but getting better. She’s a super fast learner. She likes to chase the cats but is getting better with that as well. Luckily they have a place to go when they want to get away.

Honestly she’s better than we could have imagined, and we’re both in love. Having never had a dog before we were both a little nervous, but now we wonder why we didn’t get one sooner.
Thank you sooo much for all that you do! We’ve been recommending adoption to everyone and especially praising the Prison Program.

Below are a couple of photos of Roo dog.

Boomer

Boomer
Boomer is a stunning, purebred 1.5 year old male Boxer. He weighs 60 lbs and is full grown. He is extremely sweet, knows sit/shake, walks well on a lead and just wants to be near people. Even though he is a young Boxer, he is not hyper. We do not know how he is with cats but Boxers are typically loving towards other animals. He’s pretty sure he’s “lap dog” and would love to find his forever people to bond with. Boomer comes from a kill shelter although we can’t understand why anyone would have let such a beautiful boy go. If you are interested in meeting Boomer, please fill out an online application.

Daisy

Daisy

Daisy is the only surviving puppy from a litter of 10. She and her mom (Peach) came to us from a hoarding/neglect case and none of her brothers or sisters survived the freezing conditions that they were kept in outside. She is currently in a foster home receiving the care she desperately needed. Daisy will be ready for her forever home after February 9th, when she is old enough to leave her mom. She will be a small sized terrier mix. Because of her young age, this lovely girl will be available in the Columbus area only. We are accepting applications at this time, please fill out our online form if you’d like to meet Daisy.

Peach

Peach

Peach is a terrier mix who came to us from a hoarding/neglect case. She was timid, underweight and nursing her only surviving pup, Daisy. Peach had been kept outdoors and the rest of her litter did not survive. She is now in a foster home and ready to find a family that will love her forever. She is very sweet, loves to snuggle, and has been a wonderful momma. She has come out of her shell and is a happy tail wagging girl. She is a wonderful little lap dog that adores all the attention she has been missing most of her life. Peach will be available for adoption after February 9th, when her baby Daisy is old enough to leave her. If you would like to meet this sweet little “peach”, please fill out an online application.

Logan

Logan
Logan is a 2 year old Great Dane/Mastiff mix. He is absolutely stunning. He currently is 90 lbs, is extremely underweight, and we are working on putting approximately 15-20 lbs on him. He is a true gentle giant. He gets along with other dogs and is good with children. Logan is housebroken and walks nicely on a leash. We would love to find Logan a home that can undo the neglect he has known. If you would like to meet this sweet boy, please fill out an online application. Logan is a part of our canine/inmate program and will be available in the Columbus area only. ***Logan is part of our canine/inmate program***

Skipper

Skipper

Skipper is Beagle mix (mixed with what we’re not sure!)…a true variety of breeds! He weighs 20 lbs and won’t get any bigger. He is bouncy, sweet and has a happy disposition. Skipper likes everyone that he meets and does well with other dogs. He came from a kill shelter and is now part of our canine/inmate program where he is learning his basic commands. Please fill out an online application if you are interested in meeting Skipper!

Ginger

ADOPT received the following update on Ginger.  We hope you enjoy it!

Just wanted to share Ginger’s progression. She is an energetic 35 pounds! Her and Cam still play and nap together. She also got to meet my parents Dalmatian “Gizmo”…and they got along GREAT. She has lost her puppy teeth and now has her big girl teeth that she uses on almost everything! (LOL!) She is mindful of corrections and is still learning manners, she also is our watch dog and will bark at passers-by. 🙂 We are still so happy to have her in our family. 🙂

Scout

Scout
Scout is a one year old Lab/Setter mix. He is beautiful and the perfect size at 39 lbs. He was raised in a home with kids, cats, and dogs, and did well with all. Scout is a “shadow dog” – he will follow you around and snuggle closely every chance that he gets. He’s a gentle soul in need of a family that will give him a loving home. Scout is not a member of our prison program but instead is doing very well in a foster family home. If you would like to meet Scout, please fill out an online application!
