Ace

Well, Ace has been in our home for a month now and is truly a member of our family! He saw the vet this week, just to get to know our family vet. He was about 17 pounds now (he was 11 when we got him), and much taller.

We’re working with Amy Liss, a dog trainer, for a six-week session. And he has gone to her “puppy socials”.. does great with other dogs. He’s a rock star when it comes to training – he now knows sit, sit/stay, come, roll over, shake and “leave it.” He loves his walks…he’s just a super dog!

Booker

Booker is a Anatolian Shepherd mix, approximately 2.5 yrs old. He came to us from a kill shelter in Southern Ohio. Booker is a wonderful dog! Very affectionate, rides well in a car, and happy-go-lucky! He is in our canine/inmate program working on his basic obedience and doing very well. Ashes

Ashes is gorgeous Kuvasz/German Shepherd mix. She was an owner surrender because the people did not have time for her. She was raised with other dogs, children and cats and is good with all. Ashes is part of our canine/inmate program and is learning all of her basic commands. She has a wonderful, sweet disposition and would be a great addition to any home! Jasmine

Jasmine is a stunning Collie mix. She was surrendered with her sister Zoe because their were too many animals to care for on the property where they lived. Jasmine is outgoing and very friendly. She has a beautiful shiny coat with black and white markings. She is part of our canine/inmate program and is learning very quickly. Zoe

Zoe is a stunning Collie mix. She was surrendered with her sister Jasmine because their were too many animals on the farm property and the residents could no longer care for them all. She is somewhat shy at first, but is very affectionate and gentle. She likes to lean in and give “hugs.” Zoe has a gorgeous coat with beautiful grey and black markings. Albert is a German Shepherd mix who was born approximately June 2013. Albert is extremely intelligent. He loves to have his ears scratched and likes lots of attention! He is great with other dogs but a bit intense with groups of dogs. He enjoys investigating cats and chasing them but is friendly when he gets near them. Logan – Happy Tails

Just a little note to update you on Logan. He is up to 109 lbs! The vet we took him to suggested 115 lbs would be an ideal weight to maintain for him. So we are getting close to that. We’ve been getting him out for walks daily (except on those below zero days we had). He seems to have selective hearing still as he will follow our commands when he wants to. We found a place to take him for some obedience classes. We hope to one day be able to walk him through the neighborhood off leash!

Ace is about as cute as they make ’em! He is a large breed mix, German Shepherd/Retriever and probably a couple of others! What we do know is that he is an outgoing, happy, social and funny guy. He came in with his brother and is currently part of our canine/inmate program. Ace is a typical puppy that will require continued socialization and training. Because he still needs to be neutered and get his vaccination boosters, Ace will be available for adoption in the Columbus vicinity only! DeeDee

Deedee is a Golden Retriever mix (possibly with Aussie) and comes from a sad situation in West Virginia. She was abandoned by the roadside and actually found her way back to the very people that dumped her. She travelled alone for 3 weeks, made it back, and was then surrendered. She is very timid at this time but gaining confidence daily. Deedee is in a foster home where she gets along wonderfully with her canine foster brothers and even likes the cat! She has a very sweet disposition, responds to gentle hands, and would be so happy to find a home where she is loved.
