Sierra

Sierra is a true all American mix! She was in a rural shelter where she was not doing well with the confinement and chaos. Since she has joined our program she has begun to shine! Sierra is about a year old and weighs 40 lbs. She is somewhat timid at first but warms up very quickly. She will literally melt into your lap! She loves “hugging” with her paws and getting belly rubs. She is good with other dogs but will stand her ground if another dog continues to pester her. Sierra is part of our canine/inmate program where she is learning her basic command and leash manners. If you would like to meet this cutie, please fill out an online application.

Logan

ADOPT recently received an update on Logan along with a few pictures from his family! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!! 🙂

Just wanted to share a couple pictures from our engagement photos we recently had taken which we of course wanted to include our son, Logan in. 🙂

He also just went through a 10 day training program while we were on vacation in which he stayed with the trainer that entire time and then when we came back, we have been going through a number of lessons with the trainer and Logan. He is doing great! He is walking on the leash really well, does an automatic sit when we stop and knows the down command. We’re working on come and place right now!! He’s really come into his personality over the last couple months which has been a lot of fun. Thank you so much for making all of this possible 🙂 We love him so very much!!

Skye

No photo shop needed, her eyes are really that blue! Skye is a 9 month old Husky/Shepherd mix whose previous owner no longer had time to care for her. She has a wonderful disposition and is very affectionate. Skye does well with other dogs and is also good with kids. She has recently joined our canine/inmate program where she will work on basic commands and walking on lead. As with most Huskies or Husky mixes, Skye will need regular exercise and stimulation so as not to become bored. She would not do well crated or left unattended for long periods of time. Gabe

Gabe, or more appropriately Gorgeous Gabe, is a young Yellow Lab mix with the sunniest disposition. He adores people of all sizes and loves to hug, give kisses and receive both as well! Gabe has entered into our canine/inmate program to learn his basic obedience and leash manners. He is playful but relaxes easily as well. Gabe will be a wonderful companion for any family, all he needs now is the family! We would like to see him in a household where people are around and he is not crated for long periods of time. Little BB is a bouncy girl. She craves attention and just wants to be near her person. We believe she is a Pug/Chihuahua mix and is very friendly. BB came to us from a rural kill shelter as a stray. She is a healthy, happy girl hoping to find her forever home. And how cute would she be in a Halloween costume this year, maybe a Bumblebee?! Jessie

The eyes have it! Beautiful Jessie is a Samoyed mix with the most unique gold colored eyes, one has a spot of blue. We don’t know her story, but at some point she was loved. Jessie is currently about 8-10 lbs overweight, but we will begin slimming her down to a healthy weight. She has hip dysplasia and experiences some lameness in her back end when it is bothering her. Our vet has said that she can have a full and happy life, but will need “low impact” exercise and Rimadyl (like Ibuprofin for humans) to make sure that she stays comfortable. Despite her hips, Jessie has a very sweet disposition and happy personality. She is good on a leash, housebroken, and easily motivated to learn new things (ok, she likes to work for treats!) Her white coat is gorgeous, she is gorgeous, and would love to be your girl. If you’d like to meet her, please fill out an online application.

Lacey

ADOPT recently received an update on Lacey from her new family along with a few pictures of her with a new pal! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!! 🙂

Lacey is doing almost perfect here at her new home. I say almost because she is now learning where she can wonder in the yard and she goes next door on either side of us and visits. She has discovered the creek in the back. Her favorite thing to do is ride in the car with her head out hanging out the window. She has visited the dog park and makes friends with the small dogs. Lacey is also becoming a sleeping pal with Smokey the cat.

We will continue to share as she makes those good changes!
