Hank

ADOPT recently received an update on Hank from his new forever family!  We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!! 🙂

I am sitting here at my desk typing and have both dogs, exhausted, at my feet. Hank seems like he fits right in and has always been here. We are one big happy family. Thanks so much!

Below are some pictures of Hank (lighter) with his new brother, Murphy.

Marty

ADOPT recently received an update on Marty from his forever family!  We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!! 🙂

Marty seems like he has always been with us now that it has been a couple of weeks.  He is a delight.  Attached is a picture of him sleeping with Steve while we watched a little TV.  BTW he does great with children.  We have twin grandchildren age 2 who have been over twice since we adopted Marty and he plays great with them.  Again thank you for raising such a wonderful pet! 🙂

Lucy

ADOPT recently received an update on Lucy along with a few pictures from her family!  We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!! 🙂

It’s been two months now since we have had our newest family member with us and she’s fitting in very well. She enjoys chewing on sticks, playing keep away, climbing on the swing set and playing with all of her toys. She chases the cats but for the most part they get along fine. She loves playing with other dogs as you can see from the photo. Thank you so much for helping us find Lucy.

Hank

Hank

Hank is an adorable Retriever/Aussie mix that is still just a puppy. He is very affectionate, melts into your lap, and displays many herding breed characteristics. He is alert, will circle around you and stay close by, and is extremely bright. He is somewhat unsure at first, but we believe that he will gain confidence as he spends time in the canine/inmate program. His former human parents lost their home and surrendered him because they were having to move around to stay with friends and family. Hank is quiet in his crate, housebroken, and loves people. Because of his breed mix, he would do well in a home where he has a “job.” That can be anything from fetching, going on regular walks or runs, to agility and therapy. Aussies and Aussie mixes are highly intelligent and don’t do well with boredom. If you are looking for a devoted companion, Hank just might be your guy! To meet him, please fill out an online application.

Angel

Angel

Angel is a 2.5 year old Pomeranian/Chi mix who’s elderly owner passed away. Angel was definitley loved and misses having someone to snuggle with. She is slightly overweight but we are working on slimming her down! She is extremely affectionate and loves to be near people. She is housebroken and does well with other dogs and walks nicely on her leash. It would be wonderful to see Angel in a home where she can be a companion to someone…she is a wonderful lap warmer and would be happy to have her person close by. If you are looking for a little cuddler like Angel, please fill out an online application.

Cain

Cain

Cain is a gorgeous Boxer mix (possibly with Plott Hound?). He has a stunning brindle coat and the kindest eyes. Cain was surrendered due to his family not being able to spend time with him. He is sweet, goofy, and loving. Cain is great with kids and other dogs, not sure about cats. He is still working on walking on a leash (likes to follow his nose along the ground) and knows basic commands. He also does well in his crate and is housebroken. He needs someone who has time to be consistent and give him the time and daily walks that he needs. Cain will be a wonderful companion for an individual or a family as he is a well rounded, loving boy.

Mojito

Mojito

Mojito is a beautiful 3 year old Retriever/Lab mix who came to us with her brother from a rural kill shelter after they’d been found as strays. She is currently in a foster home with an 18 month old child and a cat…she does wonderfully with everyone. Mo has a calm, sweet and gentle disposition. She has had chronic knee issues in her hind legs and appears to have previously torn ACL’s. Our vet has determined that she is not a surgical candidate due to the fact that the injuries occured long ago and cannot be repaired. What does that mean? It just means that Mo will not be a jogging buddy or agility champ! She will need Glucosamine for joint support (which can be purchased for about $4 a month) and potentially anti-inflammatory medication as she ages. She enjoys her walks and does not appeared bothered in any way by this. Mo loves other dogs, cats, and everyone that she meets. She is truly a loving and gentle companion. She would do well in a home with another canine or a home that she isn’t by herself for long periods. She genuinely loves to be with her people. This girl will no doubt bring joy to any home lucky enough to have her! If you would like to meet Mo, please fill out an online application.
