Dugan

This handsome boy looks like a Black Lab that was shrunk in the dryer! He’s a great medium size, 44 lbs, and needs to gain just a few more. He’s fully grown, just a bit thin. Dugan has a wonderful personality, he is very bright and is food motivated (which makes training a breeze!) He is working on his basic commands and how to walk nicely on a leash. Dugan is affectionate, intelligent, and playful. He loves fetch, Kongs, and playing with rope toys. He thinks he’s a lap dog and likes to snuggle. Dugan will make a lovely companion for an active person or family.

ADOPT recently received an update on BB from her new forever family! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!! 🙂

BB is absolutely awesome! Her and my Mom have quickly bonded and she’s made herself right at home in the condo. When she isn’t running after one of her toys she can be found sitting in the recliner w/my Mom. And, she’s decided she doesn’t want to sleep in her crate…oh no, she’d much rather sleep under the covers in bed. All curled up under the covers…too cute! I swear…you would think the two of them had been together for years.
Thank you so much for saving her and for allowing my Mom to adopt her. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect addition to my Mom’s life.

We’ll send you guys updates from time to time. For now…here’s her first “new home” picture…she has a couple of her new toys around her.

BTW – I don’t know if she had any toys in her previous life but she sure loves anything that squeaks. 🙂

All the wonderful things that puppies are; playful, silly, unbalanced, curious, and best of all, snuggly…that is Beagle baby Jax! He is still very young and learning quickly. There is no doubt he will be an awesome dog! He respects the adult dogs around him and loves to play with them all, big or small! He has been exposed to children like a typical puppy is drawn to them. He is working on potty training. He has the concept down to go outside but still has accidents indoors (again, he is just a baby!!) He is fine with being kenneled when no one is nearby to supervise or when he needs to nap. If you would like to meet this precious puppy, please fill out an online application. Because Jax is so young and still needs vaccine boosters and needs to be neutered, he will be available for adoption in the immediate Columbus vicinity only!!

Sammy

Sammy the Labradoodle is back… His adopters returned him because they could not handle his skin issues. This boy will be 2 in January and is so sweet but incredibly timid. His skin issues are fairly severe at this point, so he will need a home willing to do whatever treatment may be needed. Sammy gets along with other dogs and does not bother cats. He has lived with children but because of his current condition we would prefer a quieter home for him at this time. Sammy is gentle, quiet, shy and very affectionate with his people once he gets to know someone. He goes through acute flare ups with his skin and needs treatment at that time. We are continuing to work with our vet to find the best way to keep Sammy’s skin in good condition. He will never have a glorious coat, but he does have a glorious heart. If you think you can provide Sammy with a loving home and be ready to get gratitude in return, please apply online.

Tank

Tank is one tough little guy! He and his brother were dumped at a shelter from the trunk of a car. Both were infected with Parvo, a deadly canine virus. Tank’s brother did not survive, but Tank is a fighter and with much love, support and community donations we were able to successfully treat him. He is now a happy, healthy pup! He has settled into his foster home and is doing great with his housetraining and crate training. He is a smart boy too, as he already knows sit and plays fetch. He enjoys trying to play with his feline foster brother and sister but is very gentle, respectful of boundaries and does not chase them.
Tank is a curious boy and loves to explore outside. He’s learning new things inside too, including up and down steps, and everything is an adventure to him. Because he still needs vaccinations boostered and will need neutered, Tank is available to immediate Columbus applicants only!!! Please fill out an online application to be considered for adoption.

Unfortunately, we have been having some technical difficulties with our website recently! Hi there! Just wanted to send you an update on Ava, our Siberian Husky we adopted from A.D.O.P.T. Pet Rescue back in July!

When we showed up at the prison (yes, prison…since she was in the inmate training program) we were a little skeptical since we had to pick her up there. Since the moment she ran to us there and gave us all kisses, she has been a huge part of our family! She goes everywhere with us. And the thought “how could anyone give her up?” runs across my mind daily as all she has to do is howl at us when we walk in the door to greet us brightens our day! We love Ava as a member of our family, and want to thank you for helping bring her into our lives!

Brady

Brady is a big lover boy. 75 pounds of sweetness. He’s approximately 2.5 yrs old and is a gentle giant (although that tail can do some damage when it really gets going!!) He’s goofy, affectionate and has a lovely disposition. He has just joined us and is entering the canine/inmate program to learn more of his basic commands. This big guy will make a great addition to any family.

Theo

Theo is a loving Germand Shepherd/Black Lab mix who will be a year old in January. He is such a sweet boy, and was abandoned and forgotten by his family at a kennel, and is just looking for love. He is great with children of all ages, and will do a lot for a treat – especially a peanut butter one! He knows sit and shake, and loves to cuddle. Theo loves other dogs, but will want to play with them immediately and forgo the introductions. Theo enjoys being outside, but will come willingly when called. Theo will sit nicely when you bring him his food, and liked to be petted before eating. Theo will be entering the canine/inmate profram to learn more of his basic commands and manners. Theo will make a great addition to any family.

Emma

ADOPT recently received an update on Emma from her forever family! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!! 🙂

We have had Emma for almost a year. She is the sweetest little girl, and absolutely loves everything about her life. Especially her human sister Alexis, and her best friend Shelby. When we got her she was wonderful, but she didn’t know how to be a dog. She didn’t understand toys or know how to chew on bones. My how that has changed! Her favorite is tugging rope with Shelby. She also tends to end belly up in one of our laps. She truly is a pampered pup. From knowing what she came from she deserves it. Thank you so much for bringing her into our lives.
