Mickey

Mickey

Little Mickey is the cutest darn thing! He and his sister, Minnie, came to us from a rural kill shelter. They are Boston Terrier mixes (with something that has wiry hair!), currently weigh 8 lbs and will be up to 20 lbs full grown. They are social, friendly, and affectionate. They will be continuing their already established socialization in the prison program and working on their house training. Because of his young age, Mickey is available to Columbus vicinity applicants only. We would love to broaden our area but Mickey still needs booster vaccines and his neuter surgery once he’s old enough. These vetting needs will be done through our local vet and is included in his adoption fee. If you would like to meet Mickey to be considered for his forever home, please fill out an online application.

Valentina

Valentina

Valentina is a beautiful little mixed breed, perhaps Sheltie/Border Collie. She is young, petite and very sweet. She came to us as an owner surrender because her family did not have time to give her the attention she deserves. She is timid at first but quickly opens up and is happy to give and receive affection. She is good with other dogs and with children. Valentina would love a forever family of her own! If you’d like to meet his pretty girl, please fill out an online application.

Jessie

Jessie

The eyes have it! Beautiful Jessie is a Samoyed mix with the most unique gold colored eyes, one has a spot of blue. We don’t know her story but at some point she was loved before ending up in a kill shelter. Jessie is currently about 8-10 lbs overweight but we are working on slimming her down to a healthy weight. She has hip dysplasia and occasionally has some stiffness in her back end if it’s bothering her. Our vet has said that she can have a full and happy life, but will need low impact exercise like daily walks. The only thing she is on currently is Glucosamine which is over the counter and costs less than $10/month. Jessie is a super sweet girl who will make a wonderful companion. She is not a jogging buddy, but she’d be happy to lay next to you, take up room on your couch, and keep you company. If you’d like to meet Jessie, please fill out an online application.

Weight: 50 lbs (but needs to be closer to 40)

He is part of our canine/inmate program and will be learning his basic commands. He’s a happy-go-lucky boy and will make a loving companion for any family. Penny

Penny

Penny is a precious Lab/Border Collie mix that came in from a rural shelter with her brother Parker. They were both very reserved and had not had much socialization. Penny is still more shy but is very accepting of affection and attention. She’s discovered that tennis balls are wonderful, magical objects and loves to be outdoors as well. Both pups are doing well with their housetraining and are good in their crates. Because these little ones are still so young, Columbus and immediate vicinity applicants only will be considered for adoption. We encourage and appreciate all interested parties but because this baby still needs booster vaccines and spay surgery we must keep her nearby for follow up vet appointments. If you would like to be considered to adopt Penny, please fill out an online application.

Bella

Bella

Bella is a Great Dane who was surrendered by her owner when he went into a nursing home. She has a sweet disposition and has lived with other dog and kids. Bella has recently entered into the canine/inmate program where she will work on her manners, learning basic commands and how to walk on a leash. She does well with smaller dogs, male or female, but is not as friendly towards large dogs of either sex. She is a little bit underweight but will fill out nicely with a healthy diet. If you would like to meet this sweet girl, please fill out an online application. Giant breed or Great Dane experience is preferred.

Parker

Parker

Parker is a Yellow Lab mix who arrived from a rural shelter with his sister Penny. Both pups are reserved at first but welcome affection and attention. Parker is the more adventurous of the two, is a typical Lab pup, and has a fantastic disposition. He has begun his housebreaking and seems to hold it until let out. He’s still a baby so accidents can happen!!! Because of his young age and his need for booster vaccines and neuter when he’s old enought, Columbus and immediate vicinity applicants only will be considered. We welcome all adopters but for our pups we need them nearby to follow up with their vetting appointments. Please fill out an online application if you would like to be considered to adopt Parker!

Weimin

Weimin

Meet Weimin. His name mean’s “remarkable” in Chinese…and he truly is. When Weimin first arrived he was very ill. He had Demodex mange, secondary skin infections all over his body, his eyes were infected, he was emaciated and had pneumonia. After 2 months of intensive TLC, good food, and medication in his foster home, Weimin has recovered! He still looks like a patchwork quilt from hair loss, but over time his fur will fill in. This lovely boy has developed quite a following on social media and is now seeking his forever home.
Weimin is thought to be a Mastiff mix (Cane Corso, SharPei?) and is a big boy. He is gentle, goofy, friendly, loves people and other dogs. He will need continued Ivermectin for his skin and we are not yet sure when that can be discontinued. He would do well in a home with another friendly dog or someone that is home to interact with because of his social nature. Weimin is truly a special dog and will bring joy to any family that he becomes a part of! If you would like to be considered for his adoptive home, please fill out an online application.
