Andy

Andy

Andy is a Lab mix, although his build is much smaller. He is currently being fostered with a busy toddler and a cat. The cat tends to hide so we don’t know how Andy is face to face with a feline! He is a typical pup with energy and curiosity to spare. He’s affectionate and good natured and will make a wonderful companion! As with any young dog, please remember that time, consistency and continued training is a must in order to build a healthy and happy relationship! If you would like to meet Andy, please fill out an online application.

Penny

Penny

Hi! My name is Penny! I’€™m a female, Labrador mix, and I just turned 1 year old this July! I’€™m currently living with my foster parent, but I would love to find my forever family. I’€™m a very fast learner! I’€™m almost completely housebroken, and have only had 1 accident because I had to hold it for more than 2 hours. After only 3 days with my foster parent and some clicker training, I’€™ve already learned to come, sit, shake, and lay down. I’€™m excited to learn more tricks so that I can show off to my new family! I’€™m very food motivated, since I’€™m only 22 lbs and trying to bulk up. I’€™m still learning to play with toys, and so far I only really like my bone. I’€™m very friendly and love meeting other humans (including kids) and other dogs, but I do get slightly startled if they start barking at me.

During the day, I love to go on long walks, nap on the couch, and sniff around. I am very loyal and like to stay close to you, whether it be snuggling up on the couch, laying at your feet, or following you around the apartment so that I can check out what you’€™re doing. After a long day, I’m very good at sleeping through the night in my crate. However, I do get sad when I’€™m put in my crate during the day without anyone in the apartment, so I sometimes rip apart the towels and blankets that are in there. But I promise it’s only because I miss you!

Overall, I’€™m a very affectionate, quiet, trainable, loyal pup who is friendly toward other dogs and humans (including kids!). Not to mention that I’€™m told I’€™m pretty adorable. 😉 Please let me know if you’€™re interesting in meeting me, I can’€™t wait!

Buddy

Buddy

This adorable Beagle pup came to us on the 4th of July weekend. He was being given away at a parade due to the family not having enough time for him. Buddy is smart, playful (loves his squeak toys!) and gets along with everyone. He is currently being fostered with 2 large male dogs and cats without issue. He will whine temporarily when first crated but settles down and is fine after that! Buddy loves to be with people and is very affectionate. He also rides great in a car. He is medium to high energy and will do wonderfully with an active person or family. If you would like to meet Buddy, please fill out an online application.

McGraw

McGraw came in with his brother, Chesney (country fans will appreciate the names!) from a rural kill shelter in West Virginia. They are Lab mixes, smart as whips, and wonderful puppies. McGraw is the more reserved of the two, usually following Chesney’s lead. He is intelligent, quiet, and affectionate. Both have met multitudes of dogs, several cats, kids and adults and have been great with all. Chesney will challenge and try to play with other dogs and cats. McGraw will engage and play but is happy to sit back and watch as well. Both of these boys will make wonderful family companions! Jessie

ADOPT received an update on Jessie from her forever family! We hope you enjoy the update as much as we did!! 🙂

Jessie is just a treasure!!! She did great on the ride home (5 hours), and I could tell that her hips were begining to bother her towards the end of the trip. We took her to a park around the corner from our house and then brought Bear over. It was sniff, sniff, then off we came home-no issues! She has made herself right at home. Sleeps on one of our couches in the family room, flat on her back with legs in the air!

Jessie really is a gift from God. We are going to keep in touch with you and the CRC and the young man that did such a great job working with her.

Fiona

Fiona

Fiona came to us from a rural kill shelter in West Virginia. She is a super cute Yellow Lab mix, possibly with some sort of hound. She is less than a year old and has a very loving disposition. Fiona is not a vocal dog, is extremely affectionate and does well with other animals. She is part of the canine/inmate program where she will learn basic commands. She walks nicely on her leash and loves to be outdoors taking walks or exploring. Fiona was temporarily fostered with a cat and did fine. She is a happy girl with normal puppy energy and will be a great companion.
