Jackson

Jackson is a pretty special boy. He was part of a cruelty case, removed from a filthy neglectful home, and brought into rescue. He was missing some hair from the dirt and fleas, but he has been seen by the veterinarian and is looking great! Despite his deplorable conditions, Jackson is amazingly sweet and is very good with other dogs and people. He is bright, happy, and learning how to “just be a dog” in the prison program. He is also working on his basic obedience commands and leash manners, all of which he’s learning quickly! We believe he is part Border Collie, Shepherd and Lab mix which explains his intelligence and good nature!

Otis

Otis

Otis, affectionately known as Chicken Hawk, is an adorable Boxer/Shepherd mix puppy. He is outgoing, confident and playful. Otis is a typical puppy with the best traits of his breed mix. He is very smart and loves people. He is interested in other dogs but prefers to focus on his humans. He will do best in a home with someone who can spend time with him and continue his socialization and training. While puppies are hard to resist, they are little creatures that require a lot of work (remember, they play bite, chew, pee and get into mischief!) He has begun his training in the canine/inmate program and will need ongoing reinforcement once adopted. Because of his young age and required booster shots/neuter he will need to remain in the Columbus area (to be seen by our veterinarian.) Dobby

Dobby was named for the elf in Harry Potter who was originally treated badly by his original “masters.” He was then freed to begin his new and happy life! This little Dobby is also a very happy boy, he’s enthusiastic about everything he does and everyone he meets. He’s energetic, busy and playful but also very loving. He prances when he walks and is still learning his basic obedience in the canine/inmate prison program. Dobby is just an all around nice dog with no hidden agenda; he loves people and wants to be loved. Si

Si is a Lab/Shepherd mix with stunning amber eyes! He was surrendered when his person entered hospice and is looking for a new family to call his own. Si is playful, affectionate, and literally walks with a spring in his step. After entering our rescue, we learned that Si was heartworm positive. He has successfully completed his heartworm treatment and can now look forward to a long and happy, healthy life! Si is truly the complete package…he is great with kids, other dogs, and all people in general. He walks nicely on a leash and knows several commands. Little Kinsey is a big sweetie! She is a true mixed breed and appears to have some German Shepherd blended in. She has large brown eyes that look right into your soul and a very sweet disposition. Kinsey came from a rural West Virginia kill shelter and has recently entered our canine/inmate program. She’s somewhat shy at first but warms right up and loves affection. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys human companionship. Kinsey will make a wonderful companion in just about any setting. Addy

Addy is an adorable, energetic and smart Jack Russell/Hound mix. She came to us from a rural kill shelter and joined our prison program on 1/27. She will work on basic commands and leash manners while there. As with any puppy, she will need consistency and ongoing training once adopted. Addy has the tenacity of her JRT genes and the sweetness of a hound. She’s bright and is picking up on things very quickly. Addy would do well in an active home where she gets the exercise and socialization that is necessary for a young dog to blossom! Sweet Roxy is a white Boxer with beautiful, soft fur. She has joined our rescue after being surrendered by people that no longer wanted to take care of her. Whiskers is a 4 year old Irish Wolfhound mix. He is an extremely nice boy, very affectionate and smart. He came to us as an owner surrender when the family was no longer able to care for him. Whiskers has been in a home all of his life, is well socialized, crate trained and housebroken. He is friendly, loves kids, and gets along with anyone he meets. He does well with other dogs but is NOT ok with cats. He is currently in the canine/inmate program where he is doing well. Whiskers is underweight so we are helping him gain a few extra pounds. Meet Bluetooth. Bluetooth is one of Tipper’s puppies we saved on Christmas Eve from a horrible hoarding situation in WV. Mom is a Lab/Weimeraner, and Dad is unknown. He wants to be your friend! He is such a soft, sweet, cuddly puppy. At five weeks old, he loves to eat, sleep and play tug of war. He will sleep on his back in your arms like a baby, and melt your heart. He’s very, very ticklish. He has the sweetest blue/grey eyes and a roly poly puppy belly.He will make some lucky person or family very happy for years to come! Meet Winnie! Winnie is one of Tipper’s puppies we saved on Christmas Eve from a horrible hoarding situation in WV. Mom is a Lab/Weimeraner, and Dad is unknown. Winnie is just the sweetest baby.
