Meet Camille aka Miss PrancyPants! This one year old chihuahua was surrendered to a rural shelter after having a litter of pups. She is now in need of her own forever home. She is an absolute doll and the ultimate lap dog- she loves to lay in your lap wrapped up in a fleece blanket! She is puppy pad trained, but will need some work learning to go outside, as it does not appear that she was ever taught to do that. She is very affectionate and will be a wonderful companion. Please apply at www.adoptpetrescue.org. We will consider applications from the Columbus area only, since we do require that her vet care be completed at one of our local vet offices. She will be eligible for her spay surgery after 3/26/16 (she is available to go home at any time, the surgery will be performed by one of our certified veterinarians and is included in her adoption fee.)

Elsie is an adorable Cocker Spaniel mix. She was named Elsie because she’s such a “little cutie” (LC!) She’s the perfect size, 33 lbs, and is a friendly girl. This handsome low-rider is AJ, a one year old Bassett/Pointer mix! He’s a super happy boy that loves everyone. AJ is part of our canine/inmate training program and he is working on his basic obedience skills, doing well. He does fine in his crate and is an affectionate guy. They don’t get much cuter than this guy! Dewey is a Pug/Terrier mix who is as wonderful as he is cute. He’s a perfect little size, good with other dogs, cats and loves everyone. Heidi

Heidi is most likely a German Shepherd/Corgi mix. She has a lot of the Corgi personality traits…she is energetic, hard working, outgoing and playful. This breed also tends to be a good “alarm” dog as they are vocal and announce the arrival of strangers. Heidi loves people and gets along with other dogs. She is part of the canine/inmate program and is working on basic obedience and leash manners. She would do well in an active home where she is stimulated physically and mentally.
