Perry

Perry

Perry is a young Whippet mix. Sometimes these beautiful “plain brown dogs” get overlooked because they’re not flashy. The pictures don’t do him justice, he’s beautiful in person with a hint of brindle markings. Perry is a happy, energetic, playful and funny boy! He’s doing very well in the prison program, gets along with other dogs, and will be a great family companion. If you would like to meet this perfect sized boy, please fill out an online application.

Sally

Sally

Sally is the cutest little German Shepherd mix…she is built like a Sheltie but colored like a Shepherd. Sally is extremely affectionate (she loves to lean into you when she’s being petted.) She walks beautifully on a leash, isn’t a barker and has a sweet disposition. She will be a wonderful companion for anyone and has so much love to share. If you would like to make this beautiful girl a member of your family, please fill out an online application.

We are in love with this dog. She’s sweet, smart, playful and affectionate. Here are some pics of her, along with our greyhound.

Sarge

Sarge

Meet Sarge! He is an adorable young pit bull mix who was found wandering the neighborhood and taken in, but now that no owner has come forward, he is available for adoption! He is around six months old and currently weighs 37 lbs. His foster mom says he is the sweetest thing ever and gets along with everyone he meets! He is also very smart and is quickly learning his housetraining and manners. He will be neutered and fully vaccinated, dewormed, and started on heartworm preventive as part of his adoption.

Wilson

Wilson

Wilson is a big handsome boy. We believe that he is a Pit mix who is about 2 years old. He is super cute with great big ears that stick straight up. Wilson is energetic, loves going for walks, and playing with his toys. While Wilson is a lively dog, his foster parents also say that he is a “velcro dog.” He loves to cuddle and sleep right next to you all night. In his foster home, Wilson lives with a cat and another dog. He gets along with them quite well, but they aren’t always as enthusiastic about playing with him as he is with them! He is crate trained and remains crated while his foster parents are at work, and is housebroken. Wilson was also professionally trained on the electronic collar and all of his ‘equipment’ will come along with him. The trainer who worked with Wilson has graciously offered an instructional session in order to know how to properly use the collar. He loves people of all ages but because he is a big boy and gets excited, we prefer children over 10. If you would like to meet Wilson, please fill out an online application.
Estimated birthdate: March 2014
Weight: 75 lbs
Good with cats: yes
Good with kids: 10+
Housebroken: yes

JJ (formerly Ryan)

ADOPT recently received an update on JJ from his forever family! JJ was adopted from us in 2011, and it’s so wonderful to see how well he’s still doing! We hope you enjoy this update as much as we did. 🙂

JJ has grown up as a big strong handsome doggie big brother and little brother to the humans in his life. He is happy, strong and he has and now knows what it means to be loved and wanted. He is also spoiled rotten by his human and little 2 year old Sheppard sister.

AJ

ADOPT recently received an update on AJ from his forever family! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!! 🙂

Just wanted to follow up and let you know that AJ is doing so well in his new home! He’s been enjoying going to work with me every day, where the vet students like to take him out for walks/play time when things get slow. He’s enjoying going for walks/jogs in our neighborhood, and he LOVES playing with my neighbor’s dog in the shared backyard. Overall, I’m so happy to have him in my life and I just wanted to thank you and his handler for everything you’ve done for us!
I’ve included some pictures of the pup getting settled in, hope you enjoy!
Thanks again!

Ellie

ADOPT received an update on one of our Mastiff puppies, Ellie, from her forever family! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!! 🙂

Ellie’s really the best dog I could have ever imagined. I’m looking into perusing therapy dog training with her. She so smart and gentile and is so wonderful with my niece and nephew, my niece is 1 day older than Ellie and my nephew is 2 so I’m really impressed by how well she has interacted with them!  I honestly cannot thank you enough for her she’s such a blessing!

Cora

Cora

Cora is by far one of the cutest Chihuahua puppies, ever! She was part of an unplanned litter and arrived with 3 siblings. Cora has a heart defect that can be repaired with surgery and then she can live a completely healthy, happy, normal life. Her name is derived from the Spanish word Corazon, meaning heart! We are currently in the process of raising funds for Cora’s surgery, which will be approximately $3500. It’s a lot of money but she’s worth every dime! She will most likely remain in her foster home until surgery is done and she has rehabilitated, but we are willing to let her go to an adoptive home who will be committed to her post-op recovery. If you would like to donate to Cora’s surgical fund, you can go to https://www.gofundme.com/FixCorasHeart. Every bit helps in saving her…she has such a good heart and we want to keep it beating for a very, very long time. If you are interested in adopting Cora, please fill out an online application.
