Quincy

Quincy

A.D.O.P.T. Pet Rescue is this little guy’s fifth stop in his very short life (quint, hence the name Quincy!) We have promised him that the next place he goes will be his forever home. Our best guess is that he is a hound mix (possibly Redbone Coonhound, go ahead, look them up! Great dogs!) He is a typical puppy who loves to play and investigate. Quincy is curious, energetic, and affectionate. As with all youngsters, he will require ongoing socialization, guidance, training, and a patient person to show him the way. If you are ready for a long term, loving, commited relationship (don’t sweat, we’re talking about the puppy) then please fill out an online application.

Gertie

Gertie

Gertie is a spunky Beagle mix that arrived from a kill shelter in Kentucky. She looks like a mini version of a Beagle and is the cutest thing. She’s energetic and friendly. Typical to smaller dogs, Gertie likes to be in charge! She is happy to be outdoors with her nose to the ground and is just as happy curling up with her person. If you’d like to meet this little princess, please fill out an online application.

Pippa

Pippa

Pippa is a super cutie that arrived with her sister Kate. They are both very sweet girls who are growing rapidly! We are not positive of their heritage, but the alleged mother was med/large and the alleged father was about 80 lbs. These girls will not be small but it is too soon for us to say how big they will be full grown. They are typical puppies and require time, energy, proper socialization, training and regular exercise! We are suckers for puppies too, but please do your homework and understand that this is a lifelong commitment and you will most likely lose some sleep and pairs of shoes along the way! Because of their young age and the need for booster shots plus spay surgery by our local veterinarians, Kate and Pippa will need to be adopted in the Columbus/surrounding suburbs ONLY. If you are interested in meeting Pippa, please fill out an online application.

Elliott

Elliott

Elliott is an absolutely adorable Cairn Terrier mix. He came in from a rural shelter in Kentucky and is adjusting very well. He has been very sweet and everyone who meets him falls in love. Elliott had a badly overgrown dew claw that punctured one of his toes, but our vet has fixed it up and he is doing great! He’s learning basic commands in the canine-inmate program and will be a great companion. If you would like to meet this all around great little guy, please fill out an online application.

Spike

Spike

Spike is a bouncy, happy-go-lucky kind of guy. We believe he is a Poodle/Yorkie mix, but this is just an educated guess! He was surrendered by a young person who simply found that he didn’t have the time to care for Spike. This boy is busy, loves to play and be around people or other dogs. He is a tiny dynamo and would do well with anyone who pays attention to him, takes him on walks and lets him snuggle on their lap. He has very soft, semi-curly fur that will require regular combing/brushing. He won’t shed much, if any, but the fur will get matted if it isn’t routinely cared for. If you would like to meet Spike, please fill out an online application.

Leia

Leia

Leia is a little princess, named accordingly! Best guess is that she is a Miniature Pinscher mix with something a little larger. We estimate (and that is JUST an estimate) that she’ll be about 30 lbs full grown. Leia is very smart, loves to fetch squeak toys, loves to be held and snuggle, and really really loves treats (which makes training a breeze!) She’s a super sweet puppy and will be a wonderful companion. Leia can only be adopted in the Columbus vicinity due to her age and need for follow up vaccines plus spay surgery with one of our local veterinarians. If you would like to meet Leia and are a Columbus (or surrounding suburbs) resident, please fill out an online application.

Stacie

Stacie

Stacie’s name has English origins meaning “reborn.” We thought that was perfect 🙂 She is in a foster home with 3 canine brothers and doing wonderfully. She loves everyone that she meets and is having a blast just being a dog. When she arrived she had a mild case of Demodex mange which is being successfully treated. She has a very sweet disposition, is learning very quickly, and is an all around wonderful companion. If you would like to meet Stacie, please fill out an online application.

Leela

Leela

Leela came to ADOPT after a change in her previous person’s living situation. We think she is possibly a Sheltie mix but cannot be certain. She has a gorgeous deep copper red coat with black, tan and white markings. Leela is very friendly, energetic, and bright. She would do well in an active household where she gets exercise and affection! We don’t think that Leela would be a good fit for an apartment. She is a wonderful size, housebroken, and learns quickly. If you’d like to meet this beautiful girl, please fill out an online application.

Blue

Blue

We really can’t say enough good things about little boy Blue. We affectionately refer to his breed mix as being a “Piggle”…possible Pit Bull and Beagle but without DNA testing it’s anyone’s guess. What we DO know is that Blue is one of the nicest dogs we’ve ever had. He was discovered on the roadside in rural Kentucky and then sent to us. He has some scarring on his face and legs so we assume he’s had a rough go, but despite this, he is loving, affectionate, and literally melts himself into your lap. Blue LOVES people, LOVES snacks, and is generally quiet. We would like to see him in a home where he has a human or canine companion, simply because he loves to love. This boy is genuinely grateful for belly rubs, a full bowl, and a soft bed. If you would like to meet this special guy, please fill out an online application.
