Christie

ADOPT received an update on Christie from her new family.  She found a wonderful family that takes her for walks daily, has other furry siblings, and is loved dearly! 🙂

Kona (formerly Freyja)

ADOPT heard from Kona’s (formerly Freyja) new family – we’re so happy to hear that she is fitting in great! 🙂

Feeny

Feeny

Breed: Lab mix
Sex: Male neutered
Age: Adult (3-5 years)
Size: Medium (35-55 lbs)
Good with kids: yes
Good with cats: no
Housetrained: yes
Recommended environment: Feeny has lived with a family for the last 2.5 years after having been adopted from our Canine-Inmate program. The family recently had a child and feel they no longer have time to give Feeny the time, attention, and exercise that he deserves. He is crate trained, housebroken, good with kids and loves to play ball.
*Remaining in family home until adopted*
Additional information: All vet records and background information are available.

Jasper

Jasper

Breed: Collie mix
Sex: Male neutered
Age: Young adult (1-3 years)
Size: Medium (30-50 lbs)
Good with kids: unknown
Good with cats: unknown
Housetrained: yes
Recommended environment: Jasper came in with his sister and does well with other dogs. He is outgoing and friendly. He would do well in an environment that he gets daily walks and continued socialization with new people and experiences.
*Canine-Inmate Program
Additonal information: N/A

Delta

Delta

Breed: Australian Shepherd mix
Sex: Female
Age: Puppy (under 1 year)
Size: Large (50+ full grown)
Good with kids: young enough to socialize
Good with cats: young enough to socialize
Housetrained: in progress
Recommended environment: Delta is a stunning Aussie mix puppy who will need a household that can give her the time, training, and socialization that a young, intelligent pup needs. She will not be happy or have the proper exposure to important experiences if left alone for long periods. Regular exercise and positive interactions with new people and new surroundings will help her remain well rounded. Familiarity with the breed is helpful. Please remember that puppies are adorable but they are a full time commitment!!
*in a home foster*
Additional information: estimated birthdate is mid-April. Delta and her littermates were abandoned in a parking lot in southern Ohio. Because of her young age and need for booster vaccines as well as spay surgery (done by our veterinarians locally) we will ONLY be able to consider Columbus & immediate vicinity applicants.

Dax

Dax

Breed: Australian Shepherd mix
Sex: Male
Age: Young adult (1-3 years)
Size: Medium (40-50 lbs)
Good with kids: unknown
Good with cats: unknown
Housebroken: yes
Recommended environment: Dax has been in our Canine-Inmate program since he arrived and knows all of his commands. He is relatively low energy, especially for a herding breed, and would do well in a variety of homes. He likes the company of people and other dogs and is a great companion. He’s handsome, is a great size, and is just missing a forever family.
*Part of the Canine-Inmate Program*

Bernie

Bernie

Breed: Poodle mix
Sex: Female spayed
Age: Young adult (1-3 years)
Size: Toy (up to 12 lbs)
Good with kids: unknown
Good with cats: unknown
Housebroken: in progress
Recommended environment: Bernie would do well in a home where someone could spend some time with her and let her do what she loves to do…be a little companion. She is younger than she appears (the gray face is part of her coloring) and loves to walk and has energy to play. She’s somewhat timid and would benefit from a routine and consistency. She is working on housebreaking so her new home will need to be aware of this and continue to work with her.
*Canine-inmate program*
Additional information: Bernie was originally adopted from a shelter last year where she had come in badly matted. They called her “Bernie” because her matting was so bad they couldn’t be sure of her sex. After being adopted from the shelter the family decided that she wasn’t a good fit, and so she joined our rescue.

Theodore (formerly Thor)

ADOPT received an update on Theodore (formerly Thor) from his new mom! We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!! 🙂

Just wanted to send an update on Theodore (formerly Thor). We call him Theo or Teddy Bear (or his full name, Theodore Samson, when he’s not listening!). He is fitting right in with our family. He and Lily are best friends – they play together all the time at home and enjoy hanging out. He loves to go on walks and say hi to other dogs at the park, but it’s hard to take pictures there because my hands are full with 2 leashes! He’s getting better with his separation anxiety, and has become a favorite at doggie daycare when he & Lily go once a week! This week the staff commented to me how playful he was compared to the last time he was there. He’s really coming into his personality, and we’re so glad to have him in our home. Thank you to everyone at ADOPT for helping to get him here!!

Titan

Titan

Breed: Unknown mixed
Sex: Male
Age: Puppy (up to a year)
Size: Large (50-80 lbs full grown)
Good with kids: young enough to socialize
Good with cats: young enough to socialize
Housetrained: in progress
Recommended environment: Titan is still very young so he will need to be in a home that has adequate time to commit to proper training and socialization. He is still being exposed to crate training and housetraining and will need a consistent schedule in order to be successful and balanced. If you cannot devote the time and energy to manage a young pup then please consider one of our more mature dogs!
*in a foster home*
Additional information: Estimated birthdate is early-mid April 2018. We can only accept COLUMBUS and immediate vicinity applications due to Titan’s age. He needs boosters and his neuter surgery which will be done with our local veterinarian.
