Allie

Allie

Breed: Australian Cattle Dog mix
Sex: Female
Estimated birthdate: December 2018
Size: Medium (EST ONLY 45-50 lbs full grown)
Good with cats: young enough to socialize
Good with kids: young enough to socialize
Housebroken: almost!
General information: This gorgeous puppy is new to our program but already showing us how smart she is! Allie has beautiful dark brindle patches and a natural stumpy tail. She’s very bright, food motivated, and learns amazingly fast. ACD’s are a loyal, hardworking, intelligent, intuitive breed that love to have a job and a person to please. They are not couch potatoes and require regular exercise to stay happy and healthy. Allie focuses on her person and wants to do what she’s asked. If you are looking for an active companion to spend your time with and get a life of adoration and commitment in return, this is your dog.

**Allie can ONLY be adopted in the Columbus vicinity since she will need to have her spay surgery and boosters with our local veterinarian.**

Winston

Winston

Breed: Poodle/Schnauzer mix
Sex: Male neutered
Estimated birthdate: February 2018
Size: Small, 15 lbs
Good with cats: unknown
Good with kids: unknown
Housetrained: yes
General information: Winston is an adorable Poodle mix who recently joined our program. He can be a little shy in the first moment you meet him but once he sees that you’re his friend he is very affectionate. He does well with other dogs and is more submissive than “in charge.” He’s an all around great little guy and will do well in a variety of environments.

Libby

Libby

Breed: Husky mix
Sex: Female spayed
Estimated birthdate: January 2018
Size: Medium, 35 lbs (should be closer to 40-43)
Good with cats: yes
Good with kids: unknown
Housetrained: yes
General information: This stunning girl is as loving as she is gorgeous. Libby is extremely affectionate and is happy melting onto her human or going outside to explore. She needs to gain some weight, upon arrival was 35 lbs but we’d like to see her closer to 40-45 lbs. We believe that she’s a husky mix but her coat isn’t nearly as dense. She has beautiful amber eyes and “smiles” when she looks up at you. Because she is young and has a Northern breed background, Libby will do best with routine exercise and the ability to go for hearty walks. She will be an excellent companion for an individual or family.

Skipper

Skipper

Breed: Hound mix
Sex: Male neutered
Estimated birthdate: August 2017
Size: medium, 37 lbs
Good with cats: unknown
Good with kids: unknown
Housetrained: yes
General information: Skipper came from a rural Kentucky kill shelter and has become part of our Canine-Inmate Program. He’s somewhat reserved at first but warms up quickly. He’ll wiggle around and soak up all the love you have to give! He’s got a beautiful medium length coat and a fat, thick fluffy tail. Our best guess is that he’s a Bluetick Coonhound mix with something smaller. But it’s always just a “guesstimate”! No matter what his breed mix, we do know that he’s adorable, friendly, and ready for his forever home!

Brody

Brody

Breed: Shih Tzu mix
Sex: Male neutered
Est. birthdate: April 2016
Size: Small, 15 lbs
Good with kids: yes
Good with cats: yes
Housetrained: yes
General information: Brody came to us after his senior citizen owner became too ill to care for him. His pictures don’t represent Brody’s full potential! He had surgery on his right eye (for cherry eye, completely fixed!) the day before his pictures so it’s still swollen and red. He also has some discoloring of his fur from poor grooming and saliva irritation…all of these things will get MUCH better once he’s had good nutrition and proper bathing. Brody is a sweetheart and loves to be near his person. He is friendly, good with kids and said to be good with cats (we have no personally tested him.) He is a happy boy and now that his eye feels better, he’s ready for his forever home!

Eva

Eva

Breed: Lab mix
Sex: Female spayed
Estimated birthdate: October 2017
Size: Medium, 42 lbs
Good with kids: unknown
Good with cats: unknown
Housetrained: yes
General information: Eva the Diva is a beautiful, sassy, outgoing girl! She can be a little bossy with some of her canine friends, so we think she’d do best as the only dog. She is completely house trained, knows several commands, is affectionate and genuinely enjoys human companionship. She would thrive in a home where she has the opportunity to zoom around in a yard, go for regular walks, and be a part of the household. She’s been patiently waiting for her own, much deserved, forever home!

Willa
Breed: Hound mix
Sex: Female spayed
Estimated birthdate: February 2017
Size: Medium, 35 lbs
Good with cats: unknown
Good with kids: tested with 5+ and did well
Housebroken: yes
General information: Willa was left in a drop box in a rural kill shelter. She is extremely friendly, seems to like everyone, and has a sweet disposition. As a hound mix, she loves the outdoors and following her nose! She would do well in an environment where she got to be part of the household and share all of her affection as well as being able to get outside exploration time. She’s a wonderful compact 35 lbs and will be a terrific pet!
