Max

Max

Breed: Golden Retriever/Border Collie mix
Sex: Male neutered
Estimated birthdate: 8/2014
Size: Medium, 40 lbs
Good with kids: yes
Good with cats: unknown
Housebroken: yes
General information: Max is awesome! His former family wasn’t able to spend time with him and felt he would have a better life in a different environment. Max is in a foster home with another dog and his foster moms says he’s wonderful. He knows basic commands, is good about new situations and surroundings, and makes friends with everyone he meets. He is energetic and would do best with a household that can exercise him and give him play time. He’d be a great family dog! He is completely crate trained but can be left out and is not destructive. Max is 5 years old so he’s past the crazy puppy stage but since he’s medium sized will have a long, long life ahead! He’s the best of both worlds, an active companion as well as a good little snuggler. Not to mention absolutely beautiful!!

General information: Claude is a friendly, toy loving, affectionate little guy! He’s been in our canine-inmate program and knows several commands as well as some fun tricks. He loves to toss his toys around, loves to be with people, is housebroken, and very smart. He’s not a fan of having his nails trimmed, but other than that, he’s a keeper! Claude would be great in an active household that takes him for walks and includes him in daily activities.

Louie

ADOPT recently received an update on Louie from his new family! We’re happy to report that they absolutely love him and say he is wonderful! He continues to charm everyone he meets.

Stuart

Stuart

Breed: Chihuahua mix
Sex: Male neutered
Estimated birthdate: May 2018
Size: small, 7 lbs
Good with kids: unknown
Good with cats: unknown
Housebroken: in progress
General information: Stuart and George arrived together from a kill shelter in Kentucky. We are unsure if they are related (most likely siblings but not littermates). Stuart is timid at first but warms up quickly and loves to be held. Once he’s comfortable with his surroundings his little tail starts wagging and he’s the sweetest thing (not to mention ridiculously cute). The boys do not need to be adopted together but we would be thrilled to see them be able to stay with each other. They are both very sweet and will be terrific little companions.

George

George

Breed: Chihuahua/Terrier mix
Sex: Male neutered
Estimated birthdate: June 2017
Size: S, 9 lbs
Good with cats: unknown
Good with kids: 10+
Housebroken: yes
General information: George is a feisty, sometimes ornery little guy. He can be wary of new people and it’s best to introduce him slowly…with treats. George loves his treats. He’ll warm right up if snacks are involved. He’s usually good with other dogs unless there’s food…George isn’t a fan of sharing. Like many terriers, he’s got a big attitude in a small body. He loooovvves toys of all kinds, walks nicely on a leash, knows his basic commands, and is crate trained and housebroken. He would do best in an adult home or a home with older kids. He’s very affectionate with his person, loves to snuggle, and will be a great buddy for someone with a less hectic lifestyle.

Olive

Olive

Breed: Dalmatian (mix?)
Sex: Female spayed
Estimated birthday: May 2017
Size: Large, 70 lbs
Good with cats: interested but not aggressive
Good with kids: unknown
Housebroken: yes
General information: Olive is stunning. She is beautiful, affectionate and loves to be with people. Olive is currently in a foster home with cats and other dogs. She knows several commands (sit, lay and is learning stay & drop). Her foster mom says she is pretty great, would do best with another dog in the household, and once she sees you or hears you talking will come right over (we like to call her a “velcro dog”). At first she was afraid of stairs but has mastered those! She’s interested in the cats but is not aggressive. We believe that Olive would thrive in a household that has a canine companion and/or a home where she wasn’t by herself for long periods. She is a loving and sweet girl who will be a great companion.
Check out a video of her playing in her foster home here!
