Bernadette

Sweet Bernadette! Everyone who meets her is smitten with her kind nature and affectionate disposition. We were even more amazed when we saw that she had a stick wedged across the roof of her mouth. It had been there so long that it actually went through her gums and protruded far enough to rub against the inside of her cheeks. Its unthinkable to imagine her pain and yet she remained completely loving. We believe this is a large part of the reason she’s so thin…now that the stick has been surgically removed she can begin healing and eating properly. Bernadette is very “grateful” to be rescued and wants to snuggle and be close by to her people. She’s being exposed to basic commands in our prison program but would love to have her own forever home. If you’d like to meet little miss Bernadette, please fill out an online application.
