Lily is a very sweet and rather reserved dog with a slender, elegant carriage.  She is quiet and well-behaved.  She enjoys going for walks (may need some leash-training), chasing rabbits, and being around her human and other dog companions.  She does not bark much at visitors or passersby, and has not been aggressive toward her foster parents.  Lily does take awhile to warm up, and can be skittish and afraid of loud noises.  She has likely had some difficult times with humans in the past which have contributed to her cautious behavior.  Once she gets to know you, however, she loves being petted and makes a great companion.  She would fit well in a relaxed  household where there is not a lot of commotion.

Kenzie is a gorgeous mixed breed pup (Border Collie perhaps, and something larger due to the size of her paws!). We believe she was born around February 2012. She was rescued from a kill shelter in southern Ohio and is doing wonderfully in her foster home. She is working on crate training and on housebreaking and is progressing quickly with both! Hunter is handsome border collie mix and is approximately a year old. Hunter loves attention and is very loving in return. He enjoys playing with other dogs, children and cats. We’re currently working on not jumping, but he is improving every day! He only needs gentle correction and learns quickly. He will sit, lay and shake on command. He does well spending time in his crate while you’re away, but once he becomes acquainted with his new area he will be fine left out. Hunter loves his chew toys/ bones to keep himself entertained! His pictures don’t show his beautiful coloring…he is mainly black but has brown streaks near his muzzle and legs. I just wanted to write and let you both know how much we love Laney. She is doing amazingly well. The first night we took her for a walk, she was a nervous nelly and jumped at cars, sirens, and driveways! But within 24 hours, she was much braver and calmer. Most of the weekend she just sat in our laps and cuddled, but we also took lots of long walks. By Tuesday, she had transformed from a shy and nervous girl into a bouncy and joyous puppy. She is such good girl: so well-behaved, such a good listener, and such a sweet cuddle bug. We decided to call her Kiki and she knows her name, is learning to sit and to come. She is great with people (including little children) and other dogs. In short, we think she is absolutely perfect and want to thank you so much for rescuing her and allowing her to become part of our family. We LOVE her.

I cannot thank you enough for allowing her to be part of our family. She is making us all so happy . . . and she is so loving and joyful.
