Mojito
Mojito is a beautiful 3 year old Retriever/Lab mix who came to us with her brother from a rural kill shelter after they’d been found as strays. She is currently in a foster home with an 18 month old child and a cat…she does wonderfully with everyone. Mo has a calm, sweet and gentle disposition. She has had chronic knee issues in her hind legs and appears to have previously torn ACL’s. Our vet has determined that she is not a surgical candidate due to the fact that the injuries occured long ago and cannot be repaired. What does that mean? It just means that Mo will not be a jogging buddy or agility champ! She will need Glucosamine for joint support (which can be purchased for about $4 a month) and potentially anti-inflammatory medication as she ages. She enjoys her walks and does not appeared bothered in any way by this. Mo loves other dogs, cats, and everyone that she meets. She is truly a loving and gentle companion. She would do well in a home with another canine or a home that she isn’t by herself for long periods.
